Vegan Chocolatier Sweet Vegan Wins Second Place at the 2026 Artisan Flave Awards, Standing Out in a Field of Traditional Chocolatiers
New York, N.Y. — June 17, 2026 — In a Chocolate category long dominated by traditional, dairy-based confectioners, Sweet Vegan — the NYC, fully vegan chocolate company founded by Chef Andrea Young — has placed second at the 2026 Artisan Flave Awards for its "Raspberry Royale" chocolate truffle. This marks the second year in a row that Sweet Vegan has placed in the competition, climbing from third place last year to second this year.
The Artisan Flave Awards, organized by the International Flavor Awards, LLC, drew more than 320 products from 12 countries this year. Winners are selected through a blind-judging process by a panel of food professionals, including restaurateurs, purveyors, manufacturers, and other members of the food community — meaning the judges had no idea Raspberry Royale was vegan when they ranked it above the field. Sweet Vegan didn't win as a "vegan alternative." It won as chocolate.
